These terms apply when you use cohaus.life. By creating an account or posting in the community you agree to them. If you do not agree, please don't use the site.

What CoHaus is

CoHaus is a community and set of tools for people exploring buying a home with someone else. We help you learn, discuss, work through the numbers, and apply to a manually-run pilot cohort. Joining is free, involves no mortgage application and no sales call.

Not financial, legal or mortgage advice

Everything on this site — articles, guides, the co-buying calculator, the Discover diagnostic and community discussion — is general information only. It is not financial, mortgage, tax or legal advice, and it is not a mortgage offer or an indication that you will be accepted for one. Calculator outputs are estimates based on the figures you enter and simplified assumptions; real lending decisions depend on a full assessment by a lender. Always take advice from a qualified mortgage adviser and a solicitor before committing to a purchase or a co-ownership agreement.

Your account

You must be 18 or over to create an account. Keep your login details secure and give accurate information. You are responsible for activity under your account. One account per person; don't impersonate anyone else or use a display name reserved for CoHaus staff or moderators.

Community rules

When posting in the community, do not:

Post abusive, harassing, racist, sexist or otherwise hateful content.
Post spam, scams, or unsolicited commercial promotion.
Share other people's personal information, or post confidential financial documents.
Post anything unlawful, or content you don't have the right to share.
Attempt to disrupt, probe or overload the site or its systems.

Posts are automatically screened for offensive language and may be reviewed by CoHaus administrators. We may remove content, or suspend or close an account, where these rules are broken.

Your content

You keep ownership of what you post. By posting, you give CoHaus a non-exclusive licence to display, store and moderate that content as part of running the site. You can ask us to remove your content and account at any time.

Pilot applications and cohorts

Applying to a pilot cohort is a request, not a guarantee of a place. Places are limited and assessed manually. A golden ticket means your application is prioritised for processing when a future cohort or the CoHaus app opens — it is not a promise of acceptance, funding or a mortgage. We may change or discontinue the pilot.

Availability and changes

We aim to keep the site available but it is provided as-is, without warranties. We may add, change or remove features, and we may suspend the service for maintenance.

Our liability

To the extent permitted by law, CoHaus is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for decisions you make based on information or estimates on this site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

Third-party links

The site links to third parties, including our associated mortgage broker. Their services are governed by their own terms and we are not responsible for their content or advice.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
